To the left is a cliff !

The West Peak is very woody, hard to get onto the top,
and has no line-of-sight to Lulin, whereas from this
West 'Front' Peak, we can skim to see Lulin.

We are now peeking by the West Peak to see the Lulin Peak.

There are lots of mountain bamboo-sword bushes.

Now we look at the top of the West 'Front' Peak, the TAOS site. 
There is plenty of space to put up telescope station.
