關於天文營
"The International Year of Astronomy 2009 marks the 400th anniversary of the first astronomical observation through a telescope by Galileo Galilei. It will be a global celebration of astronomy and its contributions to society and culture, with a strong emphasis on education, public engagement and the involvement of young people, with events at national, regional and global levels throughout the whole of 2009."

亞太青年天文營是一個為實現上述目標的國際暑期學校。本天文營是由台灣中央大學天文所主辦，旨在增進青少年對天文學的興趣，並搭起世界各地年輕天文學家之間連繫的橋梁。本次活動的主題為「宇宙的演化」，議題將包含星系，恆星，行星及生命的演化。我們真誠地歡迎來自世界各地的學生加入我們的行列。

- 雖然參與學生的主修科目不限於天文或物理，我們還是希望參與者有相當的天文知識（常識）。
- 我們尤其歡迎一年級的研究生（博士或碩士）來參加我們的活動。
