SPIRou is the new near-IR high resolution spectropolarimeter for CFHT. SPIRou is a clone of Espadons in the near infrared wavelength. It covers from 0.98 to 2.35 microns with a resolution of 75000. It is designed for the search the exoplanet with radial velocity accuracy around 1 m/s. It has a Cassegrain polarizer module which couples the light into the fiber which relay the incoming light to the cryogenic spectrograph located in Coude room of CFHT. In addition to the exoplanet search, SPIRou will also be a power tool for the magnetic field studies for young stellar objects. Based on the capability, CFHT has endorsed a survey around 600 nights of telescope time when SPIRou is online for science operation in late 2017. Details of the development of SPIRou and the science cases will be given in the talk.
