摘要:

In this presentation, I will take you on a journey through my career as an astronomer, shedding light on the experiences that have shaped my academic path. Our current epoch is a thrilling one for the field of transient astronomy, propelled by the remarkable advancements in wide-field sky surveys such as ATLAS and ZTF. Since 2019, I've had the privilege of co-leading the extended Public ESO Spectroscopic Survey of Transient Objects (ePESSTO+). Through this collaboration, we have garnered valuable insights into a spectrum of astronomical phenomena, yielding legacy datasets that encompass electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational waves, supernovae characterized by the lowest metallicity, swiftly evolving transient events, enduring supernovae defying conventional expectations, a myriad of radiant supernovae displaying diverse attributes, and a profound exploration into the observational diversity of tidal disruption events. Our journey continues as we eagerly anticipate the impact of upcoming surveys like LSST and our collective endeavors with esteemed institutions like Lulin Observatory. These initiatives are poised to enhance our understanding of explosive transients, promising an even more exhilarating phase in transient astronomy.
