Adaptive Optics (AO) is a powerful tool used in astronomy and other applications to correct wavefront distortions. By utilizing wavefront sensors and deformable mirrors, AO systems can measure and correct distortions caused by atmospheric turbulence, providing sharper and more detailed images of scientific targets. In this talk, I will introduce the principles and applications of the AO systems. As the first engineering project of TARA, I will also present our progress in developing the AO systems, including simulations, software development, and hardware integration. Finally, I will provide an overview of the Subaru ULTIMATE and GMT AO projects.
