"Why is an ionosphere researcher studying elephants?"

摘要:
I started my career by studying the Venus ionosphere. After I obtained a doctorate, I went back to earth and studied Earth's ionosphere with satellite data. At that time, I went around the world to install magnetometers that observe ionospheric currents. Having lost my way, I washed ashore in Taiwan. Arriving in Taiwan was a blessing for me, and I met the earthquake study. To investigate the earthquake, I learned how to use GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) data. That technique improved my navigational abilities and took me to many places. I began working on research topics such as Antarctica and avalanches. Finally, I have arrived at "elephant". In this talk, after providing basic information on the ionosphere and GNSS observations, I will focus on presenting my research findings. After this talk, you'll understand whether I drifted there or was guided by the compass to reach the elephant.
